SAMARITAN’S PURSE IS CARING FOR EARTHQUAKE SURVIVORS IN TURKEY, INCLUDING A 14-YEAR-OLD BOY RESCUED AFTER MORE THAN A WEEK UNDER THE DEBRIS.
On February 6, a 7.8-magnitude quake struck Turkey just before dawn, followed by a powerful 7.5-magnitude aftershock a few hours later.
The Christian organization, Samaritan’s Purse, didn’t waste any time in responding to the earthquake in Turkey. The organization, which is based in the United States, is known for its humanitarian work around the world. It has previously responded to disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and conflicts, providing emergency relief and long-term support to those affected.

In the case of the Turkey earthquake, Samaritan’s Purse dispatched a team of disaster response specialists to the affected region, including medical personnel and logistics experts. They worked with local authorities and other humanitarian organizations to provide emergency assistance, including the provision of clean water, shelter, and medical care.

Samaritan’s Purse also set up a field hospital to treat those injured in the earthquake, offering medical services to those in need. In addition, the organization provided food and other essential supplies to those affected by the disaster, helping to meet their immediate needs and support their recovery.
